2021 Happy New Year! Chinese New Year Activity Review.

At the end of winter, it is time to welcome the warmth of spring. 2020, the year of rat was a changeful year, and now it is finally over! This time of the year, we held a special event to celebrate Chinese New Year, with the title "Happy New Year!" This includes activities of collecting the auspicious stamps in the galleries, and building the oxcart. The event was held in both Chung Tai World Museum and Wood Sculpture Gallery, visitors were welcomed to upload the taken photos and tagged the location on Facebook. We hoped that the visitors who participated in the event had their best time during their visit!

Collector of the auspicious stamps!
For the Chinese New Year event, we presented the most stunning objects for the visitors. There were many information boards informing the stories behind the objects, as well as passionate volunteers that would tell the stories in person! Children walked excitingly in the galleries, and were eager to find the hidden objects in the displays. One of the chosen objects was the famous blue and white porcelain flask. The name of the flask was to wish other safety and healthiness. On the other hand, at the Wood Sculpture Gallery, the stamp of the white elephant could be found under the sculpture of Samanthabadra Bodhisattva, and it was intending to inform that everything is going to be freshly new with the pun of elephant in Mandarin. There were comments from the visitors about how fun they were during their visit, and wish to come again soon.

There were areas placed in Chung Tai World Museum and Wood Sculpture Gallery for visitors to build their oxcarts. There were instructions placed so people could follow the steps to finish the cart. It was a fun opportunity for family and friends to do handicraft together!
Stepping out of the museum, the wide and stunning view of the town of Puli appears, it was soothing to look at. There were many visitors taking photos here, and end their days with the happy wishes they gained from the event.
