2020 Four-Seasons Event: Educational Activity, Part One—Spring.Seeding. ---Activity Review.
For year 2020, Wood Sculpture Gallery organizes an annual activity themed with the four changing seasons, "Four-Seasons Event." At the beginning of the year, we invite visitors to seed the positive cause for "Spring.Seeding"; be grateful and forgiving to the living lives in "Summer.Gratefulness"; convert ourselves to a brighter future for "Autumn.Conversion"; and reward the accomplishments to reveal our bodhi mind for "Winter.Reward." Every session is elaborately designed by Teacher Huang Wenchi and Teacher Ou Yiling. They combine stories, tours, and handcraft workshops for each session. This is particularly for the visitors to elevate spiritual minds by learning the Buddhist stories. Meanwhile, with this chance, visitors not only can learn about the collections, but also keep the handcrafts they made during the session.
The first session, "Spring.Seeding" starts on February 1st. Due to the epidemic of coronavirus, there are less visitors, but the staffs are still very excited to host the activity.
This time, we introduce to the visitors about the stories of Bodhisattvas and the Bodhisattva collections at the museum. We even share with each other the stories of how we know the Bodhisattvas for enhancing the visitor's impression on the topic. At the end, the visitors write down new year resolutions and blessings on the bodhi-leaf cards to plant the positive causes at the beginning of the year.
There are still Summer, Autumn, and Winter sessions for this year. All three of them are still available for sign up. Please check the online sign up forms for the details on each session. The activity is suitable for children, elderly and all public audiences! All art lovers should come and join us!
